Our Scadinavian cohorts Svida have made a great start to 2016, with recent release ''Cabbage'', seeing support from luminaires such as Josh Wink & Jewel Kid. So to say we're pleased with having the guys back on DPR with this stunning 3 piece would be an understatement.
'Love We Trust' is archetypal Svida: low-slung, moody and rolling. The bass takes centre stage first out, throbbing and filtered it wobbles & contorts to make a great swing. Then raw snares and wood-work join the fray, popping and punching perfectly. To ensure the track carries like only their work can, the addition of eerie synths slither into the breakdowns amongst even more delayed distant percussion.
'Onions' is a totally different kind of animal. Party enduced from the get go, with a tough drumline and groove, its bass growls subtley to start before orgasmic vocal stabs join in. Then it heats up even further with a withering wonky arp and the addition of even more sexy vocals, all making for some real dancefloor fodder.
