Michael Devin (Mr. Tea) was influenced by the early electronic invasion on the British music scene way back in 1989. Influenced by the house music scene and artists such as S'Express, N-Joi and Future Sound Of London alongside icons like Prince & David Bowie."
After a succession of release's during the 90's and early 00's on labels such as Hardhands, and Concrete Recordings, Mr Tea returns with a two track EP drenched in funk and diversity.
The first track, Alchemy in the UK, is a more intimidating venture. At eight minutes long it draws the listener in through intriguing, prolonged sound. Vibrating echoes play out as the track is introduced, before a breakbeat style element is brought in much to the listeners delight. A slow track, refusing to provoke violent movement, instead it's one to simply kick back and vibe out to.
The second track, titled Your Sunrays, is a bright, vibrant slice of slow burning techno. Again at eight minutes it gives the listener an opportunity to fully immerse themselves in soul and vibrating synths, periodically pausing before drawing the listener in closer.
