Roush Label is back with a new release aimed at paying tribute to the world's best cities for Techno and House. "A New Journey" is an EP from the artist Flashmob that will take you through the City of Detroit, Berlin and Rotterdam, three of the world's top destinations for Techno and House. Flashmob is no stranger to recognition. With 4 years in the game, the artist has received recognition from Annie Mac, Heidi and Skream on BBC Radio One, Disclosure, Dusky, Eats Everything, DJ W!ld, Tiga, Groove Armada and many more and the new EP will surely be played throughout various nightclubs and cities worldwide.
The EP kicks off with City of Detroit. Right after the conclusion of the Movement Festival, this new tune makes you want to go back immediately to the city that has consistently revolutionized the sound. The tune starts off with a powerful kick and smooth bassline that then brings in a vocal that would make every Detroit citizen pleased. From the breakdown, you get what you expect from Flashmob, a build that keeps you moving and putting your hands in the air. When the beat drops, there is no-one left not dancing. To top it off, the EP also contains a remix from Kalyde, an artist recently being featured on DJ Mag and for good reason, his remix takes the original to a new dimension that keeps the groove going for either an opening or ending set.
Rock Only Berlin and Rotterdam are two of the other tunes that show the diversity of the producer. Rock Only Berlin does truly rock the crowd without ever using an electric guitar or the typical rock sound. It is a straight up Tech House banger that will get the entire floor pumping. Rotterdam follows it up with a smooth head boppin' tune that goes into a breakdown that artists such as Josh Wink or Steve Bug would gladly display in their sets. Providing top notch Tech House and Techno, the EP is a solid purchase for anyone looking to diversify their set and bring the sounds of Europe and Detroit into their cities.
